Hi, I'm Alexia Hack, a Certified Newborn Care Specialist, Pediatric Sleep Consultant, and Postpartum Doula with a passion for helping families thrive in the early years of parenthood.
I grew up in a big family with six younger sisters and an older brother, and my parents were foster parents, which meant I had the privilege of caring for many children of all ages. This experience instilled in me a deep love for nurturing little ones and supporting families. It’s also why I’m passionate about helping parents feel confident, supported, and well-rested during one of the most transformative times of their lives.
My love for children developed early, leading me to a career centered around their care and well-being. I began as a nanny, where I quickly discovered my passion for newborn care. This led me to become a Newborn Care Specialist, providing families with essential hands-on support during the first few months.
However, I noticed a recurring challenge—families often struggled with sleep, whether it was a newborn adjusting to nights, an older sibling waking frequently, or parents unsure how to maintain healthy sleep habits. That’s when I found Pediatric Sleep Consulting, which allowed me to help families get the rest they need long after my hands-on support ended.
After becoming a sleep consultant I still felt like there was a gap in my knowledge. I was supporting newborns well, but I didn't know much about taking care of a postpartum mom. That's when I decided to become a postpartum doula. With this training I am now confident taking care of the whole family.
A Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) is an expert in all aspects of newborn care. They help families establish healthy feeding and sleep routines, provide hands-on education, and take on overnight care, ensuring parents get the rest they need. An NCS supports the entire family by easing the transition into life with a newborn and promoting a smoother recovery for parents.
A Pediatric Sleep Consultant helps families overcome behavioral sleep challenges in children, from newborns to preschoolers. Using evidence-based techniques tailored to each family’s comfort level, they create individualized sleep plans and provide ongoing support to help children develop healthy, independent sleep habits.
A Postpartum Doula offers physical, emotional, and educational support for new parents. Their role includes helping with infant care, feeding support, and household tasks to ensure a smooth recovery and transition into parenthood. Whether it’s answering questions, providing reassurance, or simply making sure parents get time to rest, a postpartum doula’s goal is to nurture the entire family during this transformative period.
My husband and I always looked forward to the nights Alexia was with us because we knew our baby boy was with a safe and knowledgeable caregiver. Alexia is professional, reliable and truly cares about helping families create a wonderful environment for their babies. She was with us from his first week up until he was 3 months old, we highly recommend Alexia and are happy to chat if you need any further information
Working with Lexie a few days postpartum was extremely helpful. I was beyond exhausted and after the first night with Lexie I woke up feeling like a new person. She is nurturing and calm and was very easy to work with. I would recommend her to any new mom trying to catch up on sleep.
Alexia helped my family to get my newborns days and night back in order and this momma finally gets to rest. She’s very polite and helpful. I recommend her if you need help with sleep plans for your baby or just any questions in general. Thank you Alexia for everything 🙂
Alexia helped out so much, she was quick on response time.. I have a 7 wk old and our "witching hour" is in full effect... Alexia offered many suggestions and recommendations which we have in turn started using that has helped. Also our baby was spitting up frequently and she recommended sitting her up for 20-30 mins and that has helped as well ❤️. She was very polite and offered her assistance later on once my daughter is old enough for a sleep plan. I will definitely be reaching out when we hit the 4 month sleep regression... thank you Alexia!
